East Africa consists of many fascinating countries.
Kenya has impressive safari park, resorts facing the Indian Ocean and other world-famous sightseeing spots. Rwanda is renowned for the history of desperate conflict and reconstruction in recent years. Uganda is called "Pearl of Africa" by Winston Churchill for its beautiful nature.
Islam is widespread. Various kinds of wild animals such as gorillas, elephants and giraffes inhabit. East Africa is blessed with climate and nature like Lake Victoria in the middle compared with the desert-covered West Africa, but most of the countries are facing many social issues such as poverty and diseases.

A poor hygiene environment is one of these issues. For example, the under-5 mortality rate in Uganda is 99 per 1,000 population. (※The State of the World's Children 2012) These deaths are considered as preventable by creating hygiene environment which the developed countries have naturally. SARAYA East Africa is aiming to expand prevention of healthcare-associated infection by alcohol hand sanitizer, at first in Uganda, then to whole East Africa.
